AIMS has been designed to fill a niche in Asset Forestry’s suite of forestry applications, to cover the functions of Inspection, Scheduling, Maintenance and Tracking Repair Costs of assets.

AIMS' original purpose was to apply these functions of Inspection, Scheduling, Maintenance and Tracking Repair Costs to assets that were defined as features on a road.  It proved itself so successful in the approach that it took to this complicated subject, and in the way that a comprehensive history could be maintained per feature, and in its ability to track the associated costs, that the concept has been extended to include other fixed assets as well as roads.
